April showers bring May flowers! I visited the Garfield Park Conservatory last week, what a treasure. The visit furthered my belief that mother earth gives us all that we need. The plants and flowers, many related to those already in my essential oils, were a welcome feast for our senses. Fresia was the most fragrant of the flowers, I treasure the expression of delight on my student’s faces as they smelled fresia and many other flowers. The sweet smell of chocolate from the cocoa tree was a hit as well. If you live in the Chicago area, or plan to visit be sure to take time to see the conservatory. If you like the smell of fresia, you will likely appreciate tuberose. I find their fragrance profiles to be similar. Tuberose Body Butter is the current top seller over perennial favorites lavender, eucalyptus and lemongrass.
